Pets Corner

A favourite for young and old, the Pets’ Corner at the Tinahely Show always delights the many competitors and visitors who come along to one of the largest displays of pets in Ireland. Children in particular are always thrilled to get up close and experience such a wide variety of animals. For many of our younger visitors, it has to be the first stop of the day.

All manner of pets can be entered, from small ponies, donkeys, rabbits, farm animals, pheasants, puppies, and snakes to hairless cats. There are five categories including the newest and most unusual pet. So if you have something a little bit different, come and show all the other pet lovers your special friend.

• Best feathered pet
• Any other pet
• Best Mother and Brood
• Most unusual pet
• Best groomed pet

People of all ages are encouraged to display their precious pets in this annual event. It’s only €3 to enter each cage with the chance to win great prizes.
Each animal must have its own secure cage or pen and they should be clean with plenty of water and food.

Entries are taken in advance or on the day in the Pets Corner tent.

The schedules are available in the local shops in Tinahely or on the home page of this website.
All pets must be penned by 11:30 a.m.
Judging commences at 12 noon sharp so get there early.
